Using Oddward
Oddward lets people showcase and share games and creations and communicate. Access to the platform is free. Games are supplied by their creators; their licences and compatibility requirements must be stated on their listing.
These terms supplement the legal notice and privacy policy. They do not remove any mandatory rights under applicable law.
Creator commitments
By uploading a file, you confirm that you hold the rights needed to distribute it and authorise Oddward to store and distribute it to showcase your game. You retain your rights to your creation. You must accurately describe its contents, version, compatible systems, installation steps and any additional software or permissions required.
Viruses, trojans, ransomware, spyware, hidden miners, data theft and mechanisms intended to compromise a device are prohibited. Deceptive installers, unconsented system changes and attempts to circumvent platform controls are also prohibited. Any data collection by a game must be disclosed and comply with applicable rules.
An executable must be self-contained or accompanied by its dependencies in a complete archive. Technical limits are shown during upload. Oddward does not automatically execute files, and uploading a file does not constitute approval for publication.
Downloads and responsibility
Downloads take place in the browser. Users then decide whether to install or run a game on their device after checking its instructions, compatibility and requested permissions. Oddward does not install updates automatically.
Hosted files require prior approval and may be withdrawn. Approval is neither a security certification nor a guarantee that a file is free from defects or malware. An analysis may not detect every threat.
Creators are responsible for the content they supply and their own breaches. Oddward is not the publisher of third-party games and does not guarantee their operation on every device. Each party’s liability is assessed according to its role, conduct and applicable law; no provision seeks to exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, the consequences of fault attributable to Oddward, or mandatory user protections.
Reports and moderation decisions
Use “Report” on the game listing or email contact@oddward.fr. Include the link, version, affected system and observed facts. To notify content you consider unlawful, explain why and provide the evidence and contact details needed to process your request. Do not attach a malicious file.
Oddward reviews reports and may suspend downloads as a precaution. An established violation may result in file removal, restrictions, account suspension or exclusion, depending on its severity and repetition. The number of reports alone does not automatically trigger a ban. Deliberate distribution of malware may justify exclusion for a first established incident.
A decision may be challenged at contact@oddward.fr by identifying the account, affected file and grounds for the challenge. Reasons for removal are recorded in the moderation log. Information and remedies required by applicable regulations are communicated to the affected parties.
Where justified by the facts, Oddward or affected individuals may contact the competent authorities or pursue remedies available under law. Oddward does not impose criminal fines or determine legal penalties in place of the authorities.
